Like most good things, Miss Connie’s Texas Plum Line happened by chance. Connie Bingham started this business 30 years ago using a wild plum jam recipe she learned from her mother. At first, she made it for Christmas gifts when someone suggested that she start selling it as a business.
She started out of her kitchen and hand packed and delivered homemade jam and bread. Over time, she picked up some corporate customers wanting to send gifts to their clients.
30 years later, people still love the taste of the many products she developed.
In 2020 Connie passed away, but her daughter in the Lord Julie wanted to carry on the tradition with a new approach while still preserving the heritage of the past.
That vision lives on in Miss Connie’s Texas Plum Line. The company is using the experience and tradition from the past and transforming it into the new creative products and gift ideas for the future.
The jam we all serve at our family breakfasts is the jam our team makes in the Texas Plum Line kitchen. In a family business, the pride of ownership extends throughout the business and contributes not just to the culture of the company, but eventually to its success and longevity.
